Jotting down your travel memories

Jotting down your travel memories

If you travel often, or even if you don’t, recalling the sites and sounds of your adventure is something we all want to do.  Some of us will take pictures and go back over them when we get home as we share our experiences with others. Then there are those who will video tape where they went and the sights they saw.

Those who like to write will carry a journal to jot down those things that they don’t ever want to forget. Travel memories can contain that tour you took of New York or the thrills of the rides you went on at Disney World.  They say there are so many theme parks in Orlando Florida that it would take a month to experience them all.

That means you will need to make multiple trips so you can take in all parks that are found in that area.  Booking your stay and how you get there can be done online and Ocean Florida offers all kinds of deal to save you money on your next Florida trip.  No matter how you document your travel adventures, keeping reminders are a great way to go back and relive those wonderful moments.

Picking up Speed

Picking up Speed

There are so many vacation options today, that it almost seems unfair. In the days when transportation was expensive and less widespread than it is today, travel was limited to areas that were easily accessible or on the main drag. The highways and other arterials were not as well understood as they are today. The spread of information has affected the travel industry in at least a couple of ways. We see many more destinations due to the availability of information relating to lesser known locales. Plus, the ability to travel is heightened to the point that an individual need not be affluent to embark from their hometown confines.

Beach vacations are always sought for their pleasurable weather conditions. When the chips are down a lot of us gravitate toward a tropical experience because it is different than the status quo at home. There are other activity centered trips that focus on a hobby or pastime. Many people participate in ski holidays to fuel their need for some time on the slopes. The activities that consume ski trips make the time go by very quickly. The schedule is still the skiers to determine so the upgrade, over daily conditions, is apparent from square one.

Snow Brings Winter Fun

Snow Brings Winter Fun

When the vacation bug bites there is nothing that can be done to assuage her gnawing persistence. Once the seed for travel is planted, it must be nurtured to fruition lest it fester and debilitate the host. The process of planning a vacation stimulates the senses in a way that builds anticipation in advance of a trip. The senses are heightened and a judgement can be made as to what type of vacation will yield the greatest return. For instance, if vacation planning ensues on a cold and snowy day, it might lead to longings for a tropical warm weather excursion. The merits of a beach vacation are certainly clear when the weather at home is not in line with our outdoor needs. Relaxation, that is an integral part of most travel, lends itself to the slowed down beach environment.

Sometimes an active vacation is sought. For such a burning drive to engage in sport, many people turn to a ski holiday as the perfect blend of activity and leisure. Fantastic opportunities exist at resort properties when it comes to winter fun. Hiking and snowshoeing are popular pursuits when Mother Nature has done her best to whiten the landscape. Downhill skiing is the ultimate expression of winter confidence.

Popular beaches of the World

Popular beaches of the World

There are fantastic beaches all over the world and your favorite will be the beach that offers what you seek.  If you want to stay in a luxurious hotel that is right on the beach but also close to shopping and restaurants, you might book your beach holiday to Waikiki Beach on the island of Oahu.

If you want to take advantage of endless opportunities and be in the theme park capitol of the world, you travel choice would be to Orlando Florida.  You can find theme park holidays and choose to stay in a villa instead of a hotel when you search for Florida holidays online.  There are many free museums and a mix of visual and performing arts are found at the City Arts Factory.

For sand quality, warm weather and beautiful waters, you would make your plans for Copacabana Beach in Rio Do Janeiro. Cancun Mexico is on the list of top ten beaches in the world along with Surfer’s Paradise Australia, Negril Jamaica, South Beach Florida and Boracay Philippines.  Some beaches are warm year round and others have a certain time of year when a visiting is best.  Beaches are a very popular destination for travelers who love the ocean.

Going Solo

Going Solo

There are countless reasons to travel: To experience, to explore, to “get away from it all”. Some travel for business or for pleasure – others for weddings or less happy occasions. And just as varied as the types of world travels, there are that many types of travellers in existence. Most want to share their experience with others – with a partner or possibly their family – and some would never consider taking a solo journey, be it for the weekend or a year. But travelling solo can offer many great rewards.

First, the world is your oyster. All choices are up to you. Want to sleep in and skip the 6am yoga? Who’s to say no? Have a craving for chips and a jacket potato? Again, you call the shots.  In addition to freedom of choice you’ve also got the advantage of only attempting to organise one passenger. Granted those pesky single-occupancy rates can sometimes smart, but the solo traveller’s very spontaneity could lead to some terrific late holiday deals.

There’s another benefit to experiencing your journey as a solo passenger – when travelling with companions we quite naturally plan and discuss –and then see/do and then discuss some more. When solo you’re afforded more time to view your experiences through your own filter, as you saw them – not as they related to loved ones or friends but as they related to You.

Travelling solo also embraces the romance of that inner adventurer in us all – and the satisfaction of having tackled a trip alone cannot be adequately measured. How often have you discussed your venture in vivid detail, only to have someone interject, “But you did that all alone?” And you stand a little taller, stare off into the distance and smile, “Why yes. I did.”

Never gotten the chance to say that? Sounds like a holiday is in order.
